Whether or not to have sex with your spouse while separated depends upon what your agreement was when you separated and why you separated. For example, if one spouse was cheating and this was the reason for the separation, it would be difficult for the other spouse to be willing to have sex with the cheating spouse. If the cheater has been sleeping around, there's a chance that they could be bringing all kinds of VD home. I believe that the cheating spouse would need to prove to their spouse that they had stopped all "sleeping around" outside the marriage and take a medical exam to verify that they were not carrying any VD before consenting to have sex.

If the purpose of the separation was temporary and both spouses agree to have sex while separated, then that would be fine. In fact, it might be recommended. Those are my thoughts.
